Quebec Superior Court refuses the injunction sought by Blainville and the CMM against Stablex Cell 6
On 2 April 2025 Quebec Superior Court Justice Audrey Boctor refused the provisional injunction sought by the City of Blainville and the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal against Stablex, finding that the public interest was better served by keeping the law in force during the proceedings; Stablex could clear trees on the site before the 15 April bird-nesting period (Radio-Canada).

How it bears on the outcome
| Explanation | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| O0 No meaningful speed-up | Neutral weak | A court letting a hazardous-waste landfill cell go ahead in Quebec is ordinary litigation over a waste site, not a resource build-out decision; it fits every outcome reading equally. |
| O1 Faster, but the extra output goes mostly elsewhere | Neutral weak | The ruling says nothing about faster resource output or where extra output is sold; it fits this reading no better than the others. |
| O2 Faster, and more volume reaches the US (this level or higher) | Neutral weak | No change in the volume of Canadian resources reaching the US is observed in a court refusing an injunction against a waste-disposal cell; it fits equally. |
| O3 Locked-in preferential terms for the US | Neutral weak | No binding preferential term for the US (supply guarantee, stake, purchase contract) is involved in this ruling; it says nothing about this reading. |
