Port of Churchill and Hudson Bay Railway (current operations)
The seasonal port at Churchill, Manitoba, and the Hudson Bay Railway, owned by Arctic Gateway Group, a partnership of First Nations and northern communities. In September 2026 the port shipped its first grain since 2020 (about 30,000 tonnes of durum, with more than 100,000 tonnes planned for the season) and loaded its first-ever potash cargo, both bound for Europe. Ottawa committed C$175 million over five years to the railway and port in March 2025.
