Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act (S.C. 2025, c. 2, s. 2 (consolidated as F-31.55))

Enacted through the One Canadian Economy Act (C-5, 2025); in force 2026-01-01. Removes federal barriers to interprovincial trade and labour mobility.

Stages

1. Royal Assent 26 June 2025
   Bill C-5, the One Canadian Economy Act, including the Building Canada Act for national-interest projects, receives Royal Assent
2. In force 1 January 2026
   Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act (Part 1 of Bill C-5) and its regulations come into force
