Nisga'a members (Cecil Mercer, Stephen Nyce) sue the Nisga'a Nation over its PRGT / Ksi Lisims partnership
Two Nisga'a Nation members, Cecil Mercer and Stephen Nyce, sued in BC Supreme Court alleging the Nisga'a Lisims Government failed to adequately consult its citizens before partnering with Western LNG on the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline, which is tied to Ksi Lisims LNG. The suit also names TC Energy, Western LNG and the BC government; its allegations are untested (The Canadian Press via CBC News, 19 March 2026). Who funds the suit has not been disclosed.
