BC Supreme Court hearings begin on petitions challenging whether PRGT was 'substantially started'
BC Supreme Court hearings began on 27 April 2026 on petitions challenging the province's determination that the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline had been 'substantially started', which exempts it from a new environmental review. The petitioners are Gitxsan Hereditary Chief Charlie Wright, for his wilp, and the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition, the Kispiox Valley Community Centre Association and a local resident, represented by Ecojustice (The Canadian Press via CFJC Today).
