Westcoast gas pipeline (Enbridge)
Enbridge's Westcoast natural gas pipeline system in BC, which serves the Lower Mainland and delivers gas to the US border at Huntingdon. The Stonlasec8 Indigenous Alliance of BC First Nations bought 12.5% for about C$715 million in July 2025, backed by a C$400 million federal loan guarantee. KKR and Apollo agreed on 27 August 2026 to invest about C$2.7 billion in two expansions for an indirect 29% interest once the Sunrise expansion enters service; the deal closed on 3 September 2026. Enbridge keeps majority ownership and control.
