Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE)
1,250 MW high-voltage direct-current line, buried underground and underwater, carrying Hydro-Québec power from the Quebec border to New York City. It entered commercial operation on May 13, 2026. Hydro-Québec's 25-year contract with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority took effect on June 1, 2026, for about 10.4 TWh a year.
