Tsleil-Waututh Nation files Federal Court judicial review of Burrard Inlet (Second Narrows) dredging that would allow more loaded Trans Mountain tankers
The Tsleil-Waututh Nation applied to the Federal Court for judicial review of the approvals for dredging at the Second Narrows in Burrard Inlet (a Vancouver Fraser Port Authority permit and a Fisheries Act authorization), which would let tankers leave Trans Mountain's Westridge terminal more fully loaded. The Nation says the approval was rushed and did not address its concerns about marine shipping or cumulative effects on its rights (Daily Hive, 10 July 2026).
