EU Council concludes the SAFE agreement with Canada

On 15 June 2026 the Council of the EU adopted the decision concluding the agreement on the participation of Canadian companies and Canadian-origin products in procurement under the SAFE defence instrument; the agreement had been signed on 14 February 2026, and Canada is the first non-European country to take part (Council of the EU).
