Canada and the US announce formal CUSMA-review talks starting in mid-January 2026
Prime Minister Carney's office said on 19 December 2025 that Dominic LeBlanc would meet US counterparts in mid-January 2026 to launch formal discussions on the review of the Canada-US-Mexico free trade agreement (Associated Press).
