ClaimTested hypothesis: intent
Part of a thought experiment. This claim belongs to the tested hypotheses about US intent: a deliberately contrarian question (“suppose Washington foresaw and wanted this: what would we expect to see, and do we see it?”) tested alongside rival readings. It is not the author’s belief. How the test works.
In the foresight thought experiment, nearly all statements about Washington's intent fit 'foreseen and wanted' and plain self-interest equally: Greer's 'still getting what we need', Hoekstra's 'economic fortress', Navarro noticing the rally, and Trump posting 'we don't need Canada' hours before saying the US needs Canadian aluminum 'badly'.
