Prairie Connector (South Bow / Bridger, partial Keystone XL revival)
South Bow's proposed pipeline of about 530 km (about 380 km of new 36-inch pipe plus 150 km of preserved Keystone XL pipe) from Hardisty, Alberta, to the Montana border, where it would connect to Bridger Pipeline's planned line to Guernsey, Wyoming, and on to Cushing, Oklahoma, through the Liberty Bridge joint venture. Its open season, which closed on March 30, 2026, secured 20-year binding commitments from nine shippers for 465,000 barrels a day to US delivery points. The US presidential permit for the Bridger border crossing was signed on April 30, 2026, and a US environmental review of the Bridger line is under way; South Bow targets a final investment decision in mid-2027 and service in 2029.
