Mike Wilson resigns from the Liberal-era Churchill Falls MOU review panel
Mike Wilson resigned on 12 May 2025 from the three-person panel reviewing the 2024 Churchill Falls memorandum of understanding for the then Liberal government, writing: 'In my view, the independence of the panel became impaired.' He questioned whether the average price of about six cents per kilowatt hour Hydro-Québec would pay under the MOU was fair value (CBC News, 3 September 2025). He later sat on the Progressive Conservative government's Independent Review Committee.
