LNG Canada partners take the final investment decision on the Kitimat export terminal

Shell, PETRONAS, PetroChina, Mitsubishi and KOGAS decided to build LNG Canada at Kitimat, BC. The terminal shipped its first cargo in June 2025, so the decision predates the 2025 trade war by more than six years.
