ClaimTested hypothesis: intent
Part of a thought experiment. This claim belongs to the tested hypotheses about US intent: a deliberately contrarian question (“suppose Washington foresaw and wanted this: what would we expect to see, and do we see it?”) tested alongside rival readings. It is not the author’s belief. How the test works.
In the foresight thought experiment: the pitch to build more and send it south came from Canada (Alberta's 'Fortress North America' at the CERAWeek energy conference, March 12, 2025), and the only statement of the mechanism before C-5 that we found came from a Canadian, Jamie Tronnes, who said the pressure was possibly 'the kick in the butt that we need'.
